Nairobi National Park Safari Kenya, Nairobi Safari Tour Africa

Nairobi National Park covers an area of about 117km2, The name of the park is derived from Nairobi , the capital city of Kenya. This park is rather unsual in the sense that its the only protected area in the world close to a capital city.

Thus Nairobi National Park is a hot spot for city visitors to Nairobi. You will find open grass plains supplemented by the scattered acacia bush. But the western section is a highland dry forest.

The man made dams are such an essential habitat to bird species and also the water dependent herbivores.

The bird life is simply amazing with over 400 species recorded.

One thing you will not miss in this park is the Rhino sanctuary, perhaps the only place where you can see a black Rhino in its natural habitat.
