Birds in Kenya. With the fact Kenya has got open grasslands, and even still, most of its part is covered with bush, many resident as well as migratory birds flock it throughout the year, for shelter and this makes it easy for tourists to watch them.
One of the unforgettable sight that you can spot on tours to Kenya, are the spectacular flocks of pink flamingos that cover the lakes of Kenya. Generally, on their tour, tourists can see a lot of birds-probably between 300-600 species of birds can be spotted.

While Lake Nakuru and Lake Bogaria in Kenya shelter the largest populations of flamingo in the world, there are other soda lakes still, where many species of water birds reside as they continue sifting through their salty water in quest for fish. Some of these lakes include; Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and Lake Elementaita, which are mostly enjoyed by pelicans, flamingos, fishing eagles, herons, kingfishers, grebes and others. The Ostriches can be spotted walking proudly across the savannah or even in Ostrich farms where they are kept for meat and feathers.
