Kenya Coastal Tours Africa

The Kenyan central costal strip is a plain bound towards the interior by the smooth hills that act as gateway to the highlands. The white sandy beaches, limited by coconut palms, and their crystal water covers are guarded from the surge and the currents of the East Indian by coral reefs, with an overwhelming biological wealth that is kept in many marine national parks.

The Ngwana Bay, which was called Formosa in the past, bears the mouths of River Tana and River Galana, the first in its northern end and the second in the south, next to the city of Malindi. Many islands rise along the coast, for example Lamu and the island of Mombasa, which is the second city in Kenya.

The Kenyan coast warm and welcoming, was colonized long in the past by a number of people who left their paths throughout history. The Swahili culture, which is a mixture of Bantu roots together with Arab domination, succeeded in this coast till coming to a highly satisfactory development prior to the coming of the first European explorers.
