Camping Safari Amboseli Kenya, Best Amboseli Camping Tour
The Maasai authorities run the campsites in the area. These sites are technically just outside the park premises, but access is from inside the park.
Group Ranch, which is located near the park border, Southwest of Observation Hill, is the only public campsite. It is a large place but is usually used for low-budget safaris, therefore, sometimes it can be quite crowded. The site has got pit toilets and water, however, the supply is not adequate and so, at times it must be got from the lodges.
The Nairushari is a special campsite found in a lonely place, in the Southwest corner of the park in close proximity to Iimbireshari Hill. It is the usual camping place for higher budget camping safaris, an extreme opposite of the Group Ranch. There is firewood, however, there are no other supplies. In other words, personal water and food are a must bring.
