Amboseli Porini Camp-Selenkay Conservancy

Amboseli Porini camp found in the Selenkay conservation area located a few miles North of Amboseli. Selenkay conservation area is well-off the beaten track and tourists have not come to visit it until now.

It is located in the centre of Maasai land and the herds are fully wild and not yet familiar to the presence of vehicles. In the conservation area, the animals that have been seen recently include; elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, gerenuk, impala, oryx, lesser kudu, zebra, wildbeest, giraffe, warthog, striped hyna, jackal, bat-eared fox, caracal, African wild cat, serval cat, genet cat, honey badger, mangoose and ostrich. Birds exist in large numbers especially those that are hunted, killed and eaten by others.

§ The Amboseli Porini camp services include 6 large travellers’ tents, comfortably furnished and with en suite bathrooms including shower, wash basin and flush toilet.
§ There is solar-powered electric lighting in Porini tents.
§ The camp is private and available to only travellers on the escorted safari plan of a journey with the biggest number of travellers being 12.
