Aberdare country club-Nyeri:
From Nairobi to Aberdare country club, it is a two-hour drive. The club is situated on the slopes of Mweiga hill. The club is a famous weekend resort for residents of Nairobi. The club’s 1,300- acre wildlife sanctuary abounds with Thopson and Grant’s gazelles, zebras, giraffes and the more reclusive leopards. It is a safe and beautiful place of unhurried charm set in a garden bursting with profusion of colour, with peacocks stalking the green bush lawns.

Accommodation at Aberdare country club:

§ Using air, it is 1 mile from Mweiga airfield to the Aberdare country club, 6 miles from Nyeri airstrip and a fourty-minute drive from Nanyuki airstrip.
§ There are 28 twins and 18 double-bed rooms, 36 of them are cottages. Travellers that can be catered for tantamount to 107. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and all of them with connected bathrooms.
§ The small houses have got 2 bedrooms, each bedroom having interconnecting doors, and most with fireplaces.
§ A balcony offers very good views of Kenya mountain and Aberdares.
§ All the rooms and small houses have got very impressive views of the plains, the Aberdare mountains to the West and Kenya mountain to the East.
§ Providing first class food including European, Asian and Kenyan dishes, the dining room is located in the main building together with the lounge bar.
§ A famous place for conferences, a choice of four rooms is available. Numbers of 10-100 people will be accommodated in the rooms depending on the layout.
Every room has got full range of hearing and viewing equipment. The Aberdare country club also provides some secretarial services.
